A Guide to choosing and buying an Engagement Ring online
Choosing an engagement ring is very special moment & we would be delighted to help you with every step. Here is a guide to making the process of choosing an engagement ring as easy as possible.
Choosing the style and type of engagement ring
Engagement Rings come in a range of precious metals; platinum, white gold, yellow gold, rose gold or a mix of precious metals. To get an idea of styles your partner may like, take notice of the type of rings they currently own and favour towards. This can give a good guide to the style of engagement ring your partner would like. Also bear in mind the type of precious metal, gold or platinum should match the future wedding ring. This is simply to avoid excessive wearing of the rings when worn. It is not a hard set rule, more of a general guide.
If the engagement ring is a surprise, ring sizing will likely be a guide. The most accurate way to measure the ring finger is having this done by a professional jeweller. There are however other means to getting an accurate guide. If your partner wears a ring on the same finger on the opposite hand, this can be a good way to get a general guide and will be easier to access. Some people take their rings off when showering or at night time. This would be a good opportunity to use our ring sizing chart here (Sizing Guide) and quickly measure the ring. There's also a possibility your partner may have told one of her friends or a family member her ring size in passing.
